Mr. Rankin founded Stephen Rankin Associates in 1987, having previously established himself as a Principal Designer in Chicago with A. Epstein and Sons, Inc. and as an Associate Partner with Skidmore Ownings & Merrill, working in the Chicago, San Francisco, Tehran, Lima, and Boston Offices.
He is responsible for the design and project management of SRA's projects, which include a broad range of building types including award winning educational, commercial office, medical office & hospital, industrial, retail, and multi-family residential.
He has extensive experience and expertise in urban design, master planning, site planning, programing, and also with multiple project delivery modes including design-bid-build, design-build, and fast tract construction.

Mr. Hirami joined Stephen Rankin Associates in 1987. His background includes projects in health care, retail, office, educational, residential and industrial facilities. He is responsible for the daily operation of the office and is Vice President of the firm. Brian is responsible for the overall technical quality of projects designed in the office. This includes setting standards for engineering coordination, construction document production, specification writing, and construction administration. Mr. Hirami has lead A/E teams, including the owner's consultants, in design-bid-build, design-build and other project delivery methods. His leadership ensures excellence in documentation and field observation. He is also a registered energy professional and self-certified architect with the City of Chicago.
