Hartgrove Hospital

SRA designed this three-story, 92,000 square foot behavioral health hospital. Separate floors and separate "wings" provide secure areas for care and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. In order to create a secure environment for both patients and staff, the dormitory-type layout provides "wings" with a central "hub" for nurses and other staff. This gives the staff full view of all of the patient corridors and day rooms, and allows easy access to these areas for patient assistance.

The counseling rooms, group rooms, gym and cafeteria were designed to serve both inpatient and outpatient needs. The 136 bed hospital includes a porte-cochere for patient drop-off, commercial kitchen, administration offices and outdoor recreation areas.
